1. ISY Dropped Their Lineup Phase 1
The third International Sanya Music Festival (ISY) press conference was held on August 30 at Shanghai's Space Plus nightclub. During the conference, organisers discussed the new directions the brand is heading in as well as the big changes coming to ISY: with an upgraded stage and extended fireworks display, there's every reason to believe this year will be the best yet.
The first phase of the lineup was also unveiled during the conference, revealing that Armin van Buuren will be returning to ISY once again- the Dutch DJ's 12am set helped us dance our way into 2019 at last year's show. In addition to Armin, a group of global superstars will make the trip to Sanya: KSHMR, R3hab and Mike William will be joined by China's own homegrown talent, DJ Carta and Panta.Q
2. Forbes Reveal 2019's Highest-Paid Women in Music
Taylor Swift is dominating the game again. In addition to the release of her new album and a successful run at the VMAs, it's now been announced that her income has soared to a staggering 185 million US dollars, making her "Forbes Highest-Paid Woman in Music 2019".
Beyoncé ranked second with 81 million US dollars, making it the fifth consecutive year that she has made the top five. The star continues to rake it in thanks to album releases, touring, merchandise sales and of course her unforgettable Netflix Homecoming documentary. Combined with husband Jay-Z, the couple are said to have a combined wealth of around 1.4 billion US dollars.
In recent years, Rihanna has flourished in the fashion and beauty industries, so even though we're still waiting on her highly-anticipated R9 album to finally come out, the singer still ranked third with US$62 million. It shows just how powerful our RiRi is.
3. Steve Aoki Becomes Sixth Member of Backstreet Boys
In the last decade or so, countless DJs have taken it upon themselves to join forces with some of the most iconic names in the world of music. Cake throwing EDM king Steve Aoki is clearly well connected in the industry... after asking the Backstreet Boys on Instagram if he could become their sixth member, they were more than happy to accept his request.
Steve and the group's new collaboration Let It Be will be released on Friday September 6, we're more than excited to see how this one will turn out!
Steve Aoki will play at Ultra Japan later this month, tickets are available via the link below:

Recently, the internet's being going crazy over Popeyes new chicken sandwich. People have been queueing for miles just to get a taste after word spread fast online, inspiring a barrage of memes in the process. But we want to know just how delicious is this chicken sandwich?
Apparently, Diplo is no exception to this latest trend- after expressing his desire to try out the sandwich, Popeyes sent him some in the most extra way possible: a private jet. The DJ could be seen arriving at Burning Man festival armed with bags full of chicken sandwiches, which of course he immediately shared across his social media platforms.
5. Chainsmokers Win Big at the VMAs
This year's VMAs we're packed full of highlights, from Taylor Swift's grand opening to Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's public displays of affection, not forgetting the Jonas Brothers ending their 11-year VMA hiatus. It's no wonder Twitter had such a field day.
As for the awards themselves, The Chainsmokers and Bebe Rexha's Call You Mine took home the win for Best Dance Video, with other nominees including Clean Bandit, DJ Snake, David Guetta, Marshmello, Silk City (made up of Diplo x Mark Ronson).
