After a long wait stretching back to last September, Zeds Dead and REZZ—the holy trinity of bass music—have finally delivered their new collaboration: Into The Abyss.

Released through Zeds Dead's own label Deadbeats, the track begins with a soft, melodic beat, accompanied by ethereal synths that fade in and out— gradually building suspense before yielding way to the heavy bass. The overall effect is that of an eerie, almost subdued dubstep number, which switches between gentle and powerful.

The video for Into The Abyss perfectly matches the mood of the song, opening with a girl slowly meandering through a myst-capped forest before she reaches a lake. As the words "Into the abyss" drop, she plunges into the water, which is when we see glitchy, psychedelic shots of her thrashing about, dress billowing around her as the intensity of the bass increases.
