On Saturday, Skrillex continued his festival tour by delivering an exhilarating set to the thousands who flocked to EDC Japan. Throughout the 75-minute set he intertwined familiar tracks with new, unreleased music as well as hits from side project 'Dog Blood'.
One audience member managed to capture the jaw-dropping performance in its entirety and subsequently uploaded it to YouTube, see below for the full clip...
Last weekend was EDC Japan's most diverse show yet, with an incredible selection of international and Japanese artists serving up only the best music across multiple genres (techno, trap, dub-step, hip-hop and more). Aside from Skrillex, some of the other highlights from this year included Alison Wonderland, Armin Van Buuren, Excision, Peggy Gou, RL Grime and Major Lazer.
Skrillex has a busy few months coming up, recently announcing that he and German DJ-producer Boys Noize will be releasing the 'Dog Blood' EP on May 31st. Rumours have been circulating around the internet of potential collaborations in the works, so keep on the lookout for further developments. In addition, Skrillex will be making appearances at several festivals over the summer, including Ultra Singapore, Ultra Korea and Electric Zoo.
