New collaboration ties uplifting vocals with emotional lyrics

Last week, Swedish DJ and producer Alesso teamed up with Argentinian rising star Tini to release 'Sad Song', whose upbeat melody would have you believe that it's anything but. Scroll down to see the emotional music video, during which Tini dances inside a gloomy glass box as it transforms into an explosion of vivid colour.
Describing the song, Alesso said “What I love about this song is that there are different ways to listen to it. You can get lost in the beat because it’s happy, but the lyrics tell a sadder, more emotional story. So all together, I think it shows that love is complex and you can lose control when you’re in love.”

Tini is one of South America's biggest breakout stars in recent years, she gained fame from her time acting on Disney Channel Latin America's telenovela, "Violetta", before embarking on a solo music career. "Sad Song" is the second collaboration she has worked on this year, following the recent release "22" with Colombian singer/actor Greeicy.
