In the days following the anniversary marking 1 year since the death of Avicii, it was announced that an official biography following the life of the beloved DJ will be released next year.
Avicii- who was also known as Tim Bergling- took his own life last year on April 20, at just 28 years old. The book commemorating his life shall be written by Swedish journalist Måns Mosesson and published by one of Sweden's oldest publishing companies, Albert Bonniers Förlag. Mosesson has previously been awarded the Prix Italia and the Stora Journalistpriset for his work.
Proceeds from the biography will go towards the Tim Bergling Foundation, a charity set up by Avicii's parents. The foundation aims to honor his memory and "focus on supporting people and organizations working in the field of mental illness and suicide prevention.", among other issues related to the environment.
Avicii's first posthumous track 'SOS' was released in April, and according to the artist's family the entire album 'TIM' shall be released in June.
