New Song Recommendations

09/20 Blasterjaxx – Blackout

Blackout is the first single by Dutch DJ duo Blasterjaxx since they released their debut album Perspective in June this year. All of their signature elements are there, from the blaring synths to the chaotic drops, creating a euphoric big room anthem destined for the main stage.

09/20 Carnage, Timmy Trumpet – Nah Nah (feat. Wicked Minds)

Carnage and Timmy Trumpet are two artists who really know how to combine two genres into one. Whilst Carnage is known for playing trap, Timmy's music is usually something of an interface between EDM and jazz- however, for Nah Nah the pair recruited hardstyle duo Wicked Minds... The result is a bass-heavy banger that will blast out of speakers and tremble dancefloors all around the world.

9/19 Paul Van Dyk vs Vini Vici - Galaxy

When Paul Van Dyk and the Great Spirits’ co-producer Vini Vici’s name show up on the same track, you just know the outcome is going to be pure trance. Just hit the play button, close your eyes and let the music take you on a trip across the galaxy.

09/20 Friend Within – Set You Free

If you're not familiar with Friend Within, you'll probably know him through one of his biggest tracks The Renegade, which was played constantly in nightclubs during 2013-2014. This new track has a completely different feel to it- the jazzy piano melody and soft vocals give us classy beach club vibes... perfect for day parties and night parties alike.

09/20 MOGUAI – Everybody's Got To Learn Sometime

Moguai's new single provides us with a deep house remake of The Korgis' classic Everybody’s Got To Learn Sometime from ten years ago. Presented on Oliver Heldens' Heldeep label, the track incorporates tech house elements which makes it a little groovier.

Moguai has some huge collaborations under his belt, including Mammoth with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike as well as Hold On with cheat codes. He recently revealed that he has a number of tracks scheduled for release this year and will even produce a soundtrack with Steve Aoki for Carole & Tuesday, a Japanese manga show on Netflix.

09/19 Yellow Claw – Let's Get Married (feat. Offset & Era Istrefi)

The new song from Yellow Claw, Let’s Get Married, stems from the SIAM Songkran music festival in April. The Dutch DJs paid for diehard fan Kristoffer Moore to fly to Bangkok with his girlfriend Bianca, during which the New Yorker proposed onstage before the crowd, and of course she said yes.

Yellow Claw also paid for their longtime fans' wedding, using the budget they had for the music video. For the video itself they decided to use footage of the engagement, wedding and couple's daily life, saying they just want "to promote the message of real people falling in love". Catch the full video for Let's Get Married below.

See Yellow Claw in Asia this year at Vision And Colour Festival or Djakarta Warehouse Project.

9/19 Kaskade x Felix Cartal ft. Jenn Blosil - More (Diplo Remix)

If you're familiar with house music then you've probably heard of Kaskade, whose name might ring a bell due to his collaboration with Deadmau5, I remember. Earlier this year, the DJ worked together with Felix Cartal to release a tropical house track named More, before dropping a shuffle dance music video for the track this week. As well as this new video, Diplo decided to put his own spin on the single and released it as a techno remix with a strong emphasis on the bassline- it's definitely a big switch-up from the original one...

Catch Kaskade at the first ever Escape: Psycho Circus Korea in October.

9/19 Dropgun x Asketa & Natan Chaim - Falling

Two of Hexagon's artists, Dropgun and Asketa & Natan Chaim, released their future house track Falling this week. If you are not familiar with the latter, you should take a listen to their remix of The Chainsmokers and Bebe Rexha's Call You Mine. As to Falling, Asketa & Natan Chaim's iconic synthpop melody combined with Dropgun's vocal chop all work together to make the track a huge hit.

New Album Recommendation

9/20 Madison Mars - Back 2 Underground EP

Remember the song Turn Me On from Riton and Oliver Heldens last week? Madison Mars also released a new track called New Vibe on Dis at the end of last month, which bears a strong resemblance to Riton and Heldens' new track. The reason behind this is because they were both sampled from the same 80s synth pop classic, Don't Go.

Speaking of Madison Mars, he released a new EP, Back 2 UnderGround this week. All of them are future house tracks that also have darker elements, straying off a little from the style of Atoms or Stardust, so if you like your future house with a little bit of underground rhythm, you can't miss this.

FestGround Editor's Choice

Joris Voorn- Messiah (feat. HÆLOS)

Joris Voorn just announced his fourth studio album is on the way, and at the same time dropped the album's next singe Messiah, a collaboration with British trip hop band HÆLOS. The track gives us a preview into what this next album has in store for us, emanating the nostalgic sounds of Europe's electronic music scene in the 1990s. HÆLOS' front woman Lotti Benardout offers up some soft vocals, which are layered over gentle, melodic synths and overall create a truly beautiful sound.

9/20 Lost Kings - Ain't The Same (feat. CXLOE)

American DJ duo Lost Kings just gave us their newest single Ain't The Same, whose lyrics describe a heartbroken person who just came out of a failed relationship before summer began. They meet someone new and spend their time hanging out together but come to realise that this person can't live up to their old romance. The song has a pretty upbeat sound which is then juxtaposed with melancholic lyrics, check it out below to see for yourself:
